Key qualifications:
- Valid school psychologist certification or eligibility to obtain it
- Experience conducting student assessments, evaluations, and interpreting results
- Solid understanding of special education guidelines, IEPs, and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to provide crisis intervention and counseling services when necessary
Your responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and behavioral observations
- Develop, implement, and monitor student intervention plans
- Contribute to the multidisciplinary team when creating and reviewing IEPs
- Provide individual and group counseling to students as appropriate
- Consult with staff and families to support student success
- Make data-driven recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions
- Assist in the development of strategies that foster a positive school climate and address mental health needs
