Seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a contract position in Houston, TX. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in educational psychology to support student development and success within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to create effective intervention plans
- Provide counseling and support services for students facing emotional or behavioral challenges
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to developing appropriate educational strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working within school settings, preferably with diverse student populations
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, behavioral interventions, and special education laws
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
