Job Description
A school psychologist position is available within a Houston-based educational setting on a contract basis. This role involves providing psychological services that support the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services
- Support the implementation of behavioral interventions and strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student support initiatives
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of special education laws and procedures
