Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist at a school location in Houston, TX. This role provides valuable psychological services to support student development, mental health, and educational success within the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to support students' emotional and behavioral well-being.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and intervention strategies.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Offer guidance and recommendations to enhance learning environments and address barriers to student success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and counseling in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
