A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist in Houston, TX. This role focuses on supporting students' mental health and academic success within a school setting. The position offers a dynamic environment to apply psychological expertise and collaborate with educators, parents, and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify learning and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote positive behavioral supports
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support student development
- Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with educational regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting assessments and developing IEPs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
