Job Description

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Active School Psychologist certification for the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
  • Experience conducting evaluations and implementing evidence-based interventions in PreK12 settings
  • Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education (IDEA, Section 504)
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Complete psychoeducational assessments to support special education eligibility and programming
  • Provide direct and indirect support to students through counseling, behavior intervention planning, and socialemotional learning initiatives
  • Collaborate with staff in the development and implementation of IEPs, 504 plans, and behavioral plans
  • Consult with teachers and families to design constructive classroom or home interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, staff training, and crisis intervention efforts
  • Help promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all learners
