Job Description

A contract position is available for a School Psychologist to support student mental health and educational success in a Houston, TX school setting. This role involves working directly with students, educators, and families to assess, diagnose, and develop interventions that promote positive learning environments and address diverse psychological needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student development
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with legal and ethical standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in educational settings
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
