An experienced school psychologist is sought for a contract opportunity near beautiful Hilton Head Island, SC. Key Requirements:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience conducting psychological evaluations and assessments
- Skilled in counseling students and collaborating with educators and families
- In-depth understanding of federal and state special education laws and eligibility criteria
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Adaptability and commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students referred for special education or behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify students needs and develop individualized educational plans
- Provide direct support and counseling services to students facing academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Lead or participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and intervention planning
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation for all evaluations and services provided
- Offer crisis intervention and support as needed within the school community
- Contribute to the development of programs and strategies promoting mental health and wellness throughout the district
