Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility in Oregon
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Proficiency in administering psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and students
- Experience developing and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Understanding of special education processes and relevant federal/state laws
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred for learning or behavioral concerns
- Participate actively in IEP and eligibility meetings, offering expertise and recommendations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive educational action plans
- Deliver individual or group counseling and behavioral support services as indicated
- Provide crisis intervention and support to students and staff as needed
- Assist in designing and implementing academic and behavioral interventions
- Maintain up-to-date records and adhere to all state and federal compliance standards
