Job Description

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification and licensure as a school psychologist
  • Experience working within school settings, preferably K-12
  • Expertise in conducting psychological assessments, creating intervention plans, and providing counseling services
  • Strong communication abilities for collaborating with staff, students, and parents
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and knowledge of state/federal education regulations
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with students from varied backgrounds

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor intervention strategies tailored to individual students
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support academic and behavioral planning
  • Provide counseling and guidance services for students individually or in group settings
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a supportive learning environment
  • Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices
  • Contribute to crisis intervention and the development of positive behavioral supports as needed
