Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Dakota license as a school psychologist (required)
- Masters degree or higher in school psychology or a related field
- Open to both experienced professionals and interns who meet licensing criteria
- Willingness to work with grade levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Flexible, adaptable approach to varying caseloads
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and fellow specialists
- Prior experience in South Dakota schools is a plus
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Provide direct and indirect support to students, including counseling and intervention strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to identify and address student needs
- Foster positive relationships with students, faculty, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
- Offer crisis intervention and consultation as needed
