Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid and current state certification or license as a School Psychologist (or eligibility)
- Prior experience working in a K-12 setting preferred
- Strong understanding of special education law and assessment tools
- Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural competence
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and evaluations
- Interpret results and provide recommendations to guide educational planning
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings and multi-disciplinary team decision-making
- Offer consultation to teachers, parents, and school staff regarding interventions and strategies
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Support implementation of behavior management plans and prevention programs
- Maintain thorough documentation, complying with regulatory standards and deadlines
