Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Masters or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • State licensure or eligibility for Michigan School Psychologist license
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education processes
  • Understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) models
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Prior experience in K-12 school settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for students referred for evaluation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services to students and staff
  • Assist in the development and delivery of behavioral intervention plans, supporting positive school climate
  • Participate in eligibility determination meetings and communicate findings to educators and families
  • Serve as a resource regarding mental health, learning interventions, and referral procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state regulations
