This contract role near Hampton, VA, runs from August 24th through June 4th, catering to a diverse student population across 1-2 school sites. What We're Looking For:
- Current, active Virginia School Psychologist license
- Experience working with K-12 age groups
- Adaptable to both in-person and hybrid work environments
- Strong communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive, student-centered practices
- Ability to contribute positively within multidisciplinary teams
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete psychoeducational assessments for students in grades K-12
- Provide direct counseling and consultation services
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop effective interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and student support teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and case records in compliance with district standards
- Assist with crisis intervention and planning as needed
- Contribute to the overall well-being and success of each student
