Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting the academic and emotional growth of students in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time opening for a School Psychologist runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, starting in August 2026. Youll serve as an itinerant psychologist across 12 school sites, providing services to both elementary and middle school students in an engaging onsite environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active School Psychologist license in New York State required
- Demonstrated experience working with elementary and middle school students preferred
- Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between multiple sites as part of a district-wide support team
- Commitment to supporting positive student outcomes within diverse school communities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate student needs
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective interventions
- Participate in team meetings, such as IEP and eligibility determinations
- Maintain clear, detailed records in compliance with state and federal laws
- Support crisis intervention and prevention programs as needed
- Promote equitable access to resources and advocate for student wellbeing
