Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Valid NC DPI School Psychologist certification (or eligibility)
- Experience providing psycho-educational evaluations in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and processes
- Exceptional communication, consultation, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to develop IEP goals and support implementation
- Collaborative and flexible approach to working with diverse teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students strengths and needs
- Interpret data and present findings to multidisciplinary teams
- Assist with Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes
- Provide direct counseling to students to support mental health and social development
- Collaborate with educators and family members to plan and monitor interventions
- Participate in IEP, eligibility, and review meetings, offering recommendations for services
- Support school-wide initiatives for prevention, crisis intervention, and student well-being
