Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled professional to provide psychological services within a school setting located in Grand Blanc, MI. This role focuses on supporting students' mental health, learning, and developmental needs through comprehensive assessments and interventions aligned with educational goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psychological evaluations to identify students cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
  • Providing counseling and crisis intervention services to support student well-being
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with district and legal guidelines
  • Assisting with threat assessments and behavior management strategies as needed

Desired qualifications:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in school psychology or related field
  • Valid school psychologist certification or licensure for practice in Michigan
  • Experience conducting assessments using a variety of psychological tools and reports
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and educational regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize responsibilities
