Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contracted School Psychologist in a welcoming educational environment near Georgetown, IL. This onsite position offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated teams and help students in grades 7th8th (junior high) or K4 (elementary), according to your placement. School psychologists play an essential role in fostering a positive learning experience, and your expertise will be highly valued throughout the academic year.
What Were Looking For:
- Valid School Psychologist license in Illinois (PSYCH IL)
- Experience or strong interest in supporting K4 or 7th8th grade students
- Knowledge of psychological testing and assessment tools suitable for children/adolescents
- Passion for collaborating with educators, families, and other specialists to support student growth
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and comply with site and district procedures
Position Overview:
- Contracted, onsite role spanning the academic calendar from August 18, 2026, through June 4, 2027
- Work a consistent 35-hour week in a supportive school setting
- Provide direct counseling or intervention services as needed
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and contribute to eligibility determination for various student services
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop support plans
- Assist with crisis response and provide insights on behavioral management strategies
- Document all interactions and assessments in accordance with legal and ethical standards
