This contract position begins July 27, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027, offering a consistent, full-time weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. You'll join a dedicated team that values expertise in promoting positive student outcomes, providing meaningful assessments, and collaborating with educators and families.
Key qualifications:
- Active and valid Virginia School Psychologist License
- Previous experience or strong interest in school-based psychological services
- Familiarity with assessments, intervention planning, and special education processes
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to cultivate a positive, supportive environment for students with diverse background and needs
Role responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments as part of intervention and special education referral processes
- Develop behavioral and academic interventions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student supports
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling as needed
- Consult with teachers and parents to foster student growth and well-being
