This position starts as soon as possible and runs through June 6, 2025, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, 8:45 am to 3:45 pm. Assignments and caseloads are flexible and can be tailored to your preferences, ensuring a balanced work experience in a supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Virginia School Psychologist License
- Expertise in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Experience with both individual and group therapeutic interventions
- Proficient in collaborative communication with families, teachers, and other school staff
- Strong skills in behavior modification and development of student interventions
- Ability to maintain thorough records and complete progress reports accurately and timely
Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological testing and deliver detailed assessments
- Recommend strategies and resources to promote student growth and overcome psychological challenges
- Facilitate individual and small group counseling sessions
- Contribute to the identification and placement of students in appropriate educational settings
- Implement and monitor behavior modification programs
- Ensure open communication with parents and multidisciplinary teams
- Document and maintain student progress and program reports
