Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Valid School Psychologist credential/license as required by the state
  • Familiarity with special education compliance, laws, and best practices
  • Experience with student assessment, intervention strategies, and counseling in a school or youth setting
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to support individualized education plans (IEPs) and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct academic, behavioral, and psychological evaluations to guide instructional planning and supports
  • Provide targeted counseling and consultation for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify student needs and recommend effective interventions
  • Support and participate in IEP meetings, offering insights rooted in assessment data
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant educational standards
  • Assist with crisis intervention and prevention initiatives within the school community
  • Engage in professional development to stay current with evidence-based practices
