Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid School Psychologist credential/license as required by the state
- Familiarity with special education compliance, laws, and best practices
- Experience with student assessment, intervention strategies, and counseling in a school or youth setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
- Ability to support individualized education plans (IEPs) and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct academic, behavioral, and psychological evaluations to guide instructional planning and supports
- Provide targeted counseling and consultation for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify student needs and recommend effective interventions
- Support and participate in IEP meetings, offering insights rooted in assessment data
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant educational standards
- Assist with crisis intervention and prevention initiatives within the school community
- Engage in professional development to stay current with evidence-based practices
