Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid certification/license as a School Psychologist in Texas
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing IEPs
- Strong knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Write clear, detailed assessment reports and participate in eligibility meetings
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students in need
- Consult with educators and parents to design and implement effective classroom supports
- Guide development and review of IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in problem-solving teams and school-wide mental health initiatives
- Promote inclusive practices and support a positive school climate
