Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Proven experience conducting assessments and creating comprehensive reports
  • Ability to provide individual and group counseling to students
  • Strong knowledge of Special Education laws (IDEA, Section 504, etc.)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, parents, and outside agencies
  • Commitment to culturally sensitive practice and student advocacy

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to identify students strengths and needs
  • Develop and recommend interventions and behavioral supports to teachers and administrators
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing expertise on eligibility and placement decisions
  • Offer short-term counseling and crisis intervention services
  • Work closely with families to provide consultation and build positive partnerships
  • Maintain thorough documentation while upholding ethical and legal standards of practice
