Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and current Florida Department of Health (DOH) license in School Psychology (required)
  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Strong understanding of assessment tools, behavioral interventions, and special education processes
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred, but not mandatory

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to guide eligibility and intervention planning
  • Consult with teachers and parents to develop strategies that promote academic and behavioral success
  • Participate as a valued member of IEP, problem-solving, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Provide direct counseling and intervention services to support students mental health and well-being
  • Create and deliver professional development on relevant topics, such as crisis intervention and positive behavior supports
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with state and federal regulations
