Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results to guide educational planning
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Provide crisis intervention and participate in multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Offer counseling and support services to students as needed

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Current and valid Florida Department of Health (DOH) License as a School Psychologist
  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Solid understanding of current best practices in assessment, intervention, and consultation within K-12 school settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Capacity to adapt approaches for diverse learning and behavioral needs
