Job Description

A school district in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support the emotional, behavioral, and academic success of students. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in educational and psychological assessments within a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention plans that support student learning and well-being.
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative services to address student mental health needs.
  • Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and assist in creating appropriate educational goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Florida Department of Health (DOH) license.
  • Proven experience as a School Psychologist, preferably within public school settings.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and educational law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain confidentiality.
