Job Description
Make a real impact supporting students across all grade levels as a School Psychologist on a contract basis. Work district-wide in a caseload model, providing essential services to students from pre-K through 12th grade. This role offers a balanced 37.5-hour workweek with the flexibility of working across multiple schools, as well as paid administrative time, including team meetings.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist license (required)
- Experience working with a K-12 student population preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and school-based psychological services
- Ability to travel within the district (itinerant role)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and re-evaluations as needed for students across the district
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs
- Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultations with educators and families
- Support staff with behavior management strategies and interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, utilizing the districts IEP system (training provided)
- Engage in paid administrative duties, including team meetings and indirect service hours
