Job Description

Make a difference in K-12 education by using your skills as a School Psychologist on a contract basis in the Evanston, IL area. As a specialist in supporting students' social, emotional, and academic needs, you'll play a pivotal role in developing positive learning environments and collaborating with educators and families.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in a school setting with students in K-12
  • Familiarity with conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Solid foundation in child and adolescent development
  • Strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, faculty, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to create, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Commitment to ethical and professional standards in school psychology

Responsibilities:

  • Administer psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to create intervention strategies and support student success
  • Participate in special education eligibility meetings and consultations
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students as needed
  • Develop and present reports outlining recommendations for students academic and behavioral supports
  • Advocate for students' well-being through ongoing consultation and staff development
  • Stay current on best practices and state/federal requirements for school psychology services
