Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as a School Psychologist on a contract assignment in the Emporia area. This rewarding role spans the 2026-2027 academic year, giving you the chance to work with students from a variety of backgrounds and developmental stages. Most hours are based in Emporia, with the potential to serve neighboring districts located within a short 20-minute drive. Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting student well-being, conducting assessments, and collaborating with educators and families.

Qualifications:

  • Active Kansas School Psychologist license is required
  • Demonstrated experience providing psychological services to K-12 students
  • Skilled in assessment, behavioral intervention, and collaborating with other professionals
  • Comfortable traveling locally to serve multiple sites, all within a close radius
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate plans
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Serve as a resource for school staff regarding student mental health and crisis situations
