Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the Baltimore area by supporting students growth and well-being in a contract School Psychologist role for the 2026-2027 academic year. This opportunity involves working on-site with a dedicated team, serving a diverse population across multiple campuses in a vibrant community. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 17, 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Masters or PhD in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Current certification or Maryland state licensure as a School Psychologist
- Willingness to complete district-specific background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review per House Bill 486
- Experience in educational or school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to manage a varied caseload across age groups (details to be provided)
- Strong commitment to supporting students academic, behavioral, and emotional development
- Excellent interpersonal, assessment, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and interventions for students referred for psychological services
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral supports
- Participate in team meetings and serve as a resource for faculty and parents
- Deliver direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Support district goals for positive learning environments and student success
