Key qualifications and experience:
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state license or certification as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience in student assessments, counseling, and report writing
- Strong understanding of psychological principles, intervention strategies, and special education law
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Providing short-term counseling for students, as appropriate
- Assisting in crisis prevention and management within the school community
- Maintaining documentation and records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
