Step into a contract role supporting young learners as a School Psychologist, serving early childhood students in the vicinity of Elgin, IL. The schedule for this opportunity is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, creating a reliable structure while allowing for meaningful work with students, families, and staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
  • Experience with play-based assessments in early childhood settings
  • Strong understanding of special education processes and IEP development
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and record-keeping skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct play-based evaluations for early childhood students, identifying developmental needs and supporting eligibility determinations
  • Provide direct and consultative services aligned with IEP goals
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Coordinate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that promote positive outcomes and inclusive learning environments
  • Maintain timely and accurate reports, assessments, and compliance documentation
