This contract opportunity is based near Elgin, IL, and focuses on providing psychological services across two vibrant K-5 schools in Villa Park. Your day will typically run from 8am to 3pm, allowing for both professional impact and work-life balance. Step into a role where your expertise will directly support the academic, behavioral, and emotional success of elementary students.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification in Illinois (Type 73/PEL or equivalent)
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Demonstrated experience providing psychological assessments and counseling in a school setting
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Commitment to fostering diversity, inclusivity, and positive learning environments
What Youll Do:
- Conduct assessments (academic, behavioral, emotional) and interpret results for eligibility and intervention planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans
- Provide individual and group counseling for students as needed
- Consult with teachers and staff to support classroom strategies and interventions
- Engage with families to offer resources and strategies that promote student well-being
- Maintain accurate records and participate actively in parent meetings and staff professional development
