Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students as a dedicated school psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work on-site in a collaborative and supportive educational environment near Elgin, IL. Youll be part of a team dedicated to student success, providing your expertise and guidance to a manageable caseload of approximately 30 high schoolers.
Key Qualifications:
- Illinois School Psychologist license (IL PSYCH) required
- Experience working with high school students strongly preferred
- Proficient in conducting assessments, delivering counseling services, and collaborating with educators and parents
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services to high school students
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and provide recommendations for interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to support social, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Serve as a resource for students, families, and staff regarding mental health and wellness
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices
