Step into an impactful educational environment supporting the academic and emotional well-being of high school students as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite contract role is situated near Elgin, IL, serving a dedicated community from August 10, 2026 through May 14, 2027. With a manageable caseload of approximately 30 high school students, this position offers a meaningful opportunity to collaborate closely with staff and families, fostering student growth and success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist license in Illinois is required
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Demonstrated ability in assessment, counseling, consultation, and special education services
- Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Dedicated to maintaining confidentiality and ethical integrity
- Must be able to work onsite as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Provide counseling and intervention services to support student success
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans
- Participate in school-based problem-solving teams and collaborate on student progress monitoring
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of all services provided
