Job Description
Step into a rewarding school-based contract position, supporting high school students as a School Psychologist throughout the academic year. This onsite opportunity spans from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027, with work hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Serving approximately 30 high schoolers, youll make a valuable difference by providing assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators and families to foster a positive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois School Psychologist license is required
- Previous experience working with high school students
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention for diverse student needs
- Confidence in managing a moderate caseload and working independently onsite
- Clear communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in psychological services within a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for high school students
- Lead and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations
- Deliver counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and social-emotional wellness
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Assist with the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current in the field
