Make a meaningful difference by supporting students growth and well-being throughout a full academic year in a dynamic school setting near Elgin, IL. This contract opportunity allows you to apply your expertise as a licensed School Psychologist across elementary, middle, and high school levelsoffering both variety and professional fulfillment.
Youll play a pivotal role from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, working Monday through Friday for 37-40 hours weekly. This is an in-person position, as virtual roles are not eligible per district guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active and valid Illinois School Psychologist license (required)
- Prior experience in school-based psychological services, with knowledge of assessment and counseling practices
- Ability to complete functional behavioral assessments and participate in re-evaluation review/eligibility meetings
- Versatility to work with diverse student populations from elementary through high school levels
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with faculty, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead re-evaluation review and eligibility meetings in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Administer functional behavioral assessments and provide guidance to support student success
- Conduct some initial evaluations for new referrals as assigned
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student achievement and well-being
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation
