Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current and valid school psychologist certification or license (Illinois preferred)
- Strong background in assessment and intervention strategies for children and adolescents
- Experience with a wide range of disabilities and diverse student populations
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to communicate clearly with students, teachers, families, and administrators
- Compassion, flexibility, and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in a school setting a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to guide interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to support customized student plans
- Consult with educators and families to develop strategies that foster academic and behavioral success
- Provide individual and group counseling as needed
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of student progress
- Remain current on best practices and legal frameworks within school psychology
