Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students by stepping into this dynamic full-time contract position as a School Psychologist. In this essential role, youll provide direct assessment, evaluation, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) support for students, helping foster an inclusive and thriving learning environment.

You will enjoy a varied and impactful caseload, collaborating with educators and families to ensure students have the tools and support they need to reach their full potential. Supporting learners in and around Normal, IL, your expertise will contribute positively to individual student achievement and school-wide success.

What youll bring:

  • Current certification or license as a School Psychologist (as required by the state)
  • Experience conducting student assessments and evaluations, particularly at the elementary level
  • Proficiency supporting the IEP process, including participating in meetings and crafting recommendations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • A problem-solving mindset, sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, and a commitment to educational equity

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for elementary students
  • Participate actively in assessment and eligibility determination processes
  • Provide direct consultation, support, and recommendations in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and administrators
  • Support and advocate for the social, emotional, and academic development of students
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and uphold compliance with all regulations
