Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology required
- Possession of valid state licensure or credential for School Psychologist
- Solid grasp of psychoeducational assessment tools and their application
- Experience with crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation in educational settings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for students, interpreting results to inform instruction and intervention
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and skill-building strategies to students facing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges
- Contribute to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) initiatives
- Lead and facilitate student support meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
- Promote positive school climates and preventative programs focused on student well-being
