Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current Connecticut School Psychologist (CT PSYCH.) license
- Background in school-based psychological services, ideally within early childhood or preschool settings
- In-depth understanding of child development, assessment, and intervention
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
- Ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic school environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments, observations, and evaluations for preschool students as needed
- Work closely with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor intervention strategies
- Contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other educational planning processes for students with special needs
- Provide counseling and guidance, addressing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges
- Serve as a resource for families and educators, offering expertise in child development, crisis response, and prevention
- Participate actively in school meetings, consultations, and parent conferences
Position Details:
- Contract opening from August 2026 through June 2027
- Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Single-site assignment at a preschool campus, supporting a consistent student caseload
