Looking to take your expertise in school psychology to the next level in a vibrant educational setting? A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to provide on-site support in a district just 45 minutes south of Washington, D.C. This full-time position spans two assigned schools and offers meaningful work with students of varying ages.

This role focuses on assessment and consultation, as well as supporting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and occasionally assisting with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). While rarely involved in counseling alongside social workers, youll collaborate closely with educational diagnosticians, eliminating the need for academic achievement testing.

Key qualifications:

• Active Virginia Department of Education Certification
• Active Virginia Psychologist Licensure
• Experience in school-based assessment and consultation
• Familiarity with FBA/BIP procedures and MTSS frameworks
• Ability to work exclusively on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Preparedness to immediately initiate the Virginia Department of Social Services background check and provide a recent TB test

Primary responsibilities:

• Conduct student psychological assessments and consultations
• Support the implementation and oversight of FBA/BIP
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and specialists to foster student success
• Adhere to all compliance and credentialing requirements of the school district and state
