In this dynamic contract position, you will collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to help students thrive both academically and emotionally. Your expertise will be key in providing direct services, conducting assessments, and contributing valuable insights to intervention planning.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid and current School Psychologist certification/license as required by the state
- Prior experience working in school-based environments strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and RTI/MTSS protocols
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload across various grade levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine eligibility and develop IEPs
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being
- Consult with teachers, administration, and families to deliver collaborative solutions
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions and progress monitoring
- Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and comply with all legal requirements
