Job Description

Enhance students success and well-being as a dedicated School Psychologist in a dynamic elementary school setting near Douglas, MI. This part-time, contract opportunity lets you provide critical support and guidance to young learners while working collaboratively with educators and parents to address student needs.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Appropriate state license or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions, assessments, and counseling techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and support the development of student plans
  • Provide direct interventions, such as counseling and skill-building, for children in need
  • Consult with teachers and staff to develop classroom strategies that foster student success
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
  • Promote a positive, inclusive school climate through proactive behavioral and mental health supports
