Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct psychological, developmental, and behavioral assessments for preschool-aged children
- Identify developmental delays, learning differences, and emotional or behavioral concerns
- Interpret assessment results and provide clear, actionable recommendations
Intervention & Support
- Develop individualized intervention plans tailored to each childs needs
- Provide direct support through play-based therapy, behavioral interventions, and social-emotional skill building
- Monitor progress and adjust support plans as needed
Collaboration
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement strategies in the classroom
- Partner with families to provide guidance, resources, and ongoing communication regarding their childs development
- Coordinate with outside providers (speech therapists, occupational therapists, pediatricians) when applicable
Qualifications:
Education & Certification
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology, School Psychology, or a related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a psychologist or school psychologist (required)
Experience
- Experience working with children ages 35 in a school, childcare, or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and developmental milestones
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in early childhood assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
