Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting a vibrant educational community for the entire 26/27 academic year. This full-time position is based at a single school site and focuses mainly on preschool evaluations and testing, though involvement may span the entire district as needed. Youll play a crucial role in providing high-quality assessments and working collaboratively to support students development and learning outcomes in a district near Dixon, CA.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid credential in School Psychology or eligibility for state certification
- Experience conducting psychological and educational assessments, especially with preschool-aged children
- Familiarity with best practices in evaluations, interventions, and reporting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently
- Experience with diverse student populations preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
- Focus primarily on preschool assessments while also serving students district-wide as necessary
- Prepare, interpret, and present assessment results for eligibility and educational programming
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth and learning
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with district and legal standards
