Seeking a skilled and dedicated school psychologist to provide support across elementary, middle, and high school levels on a contract basis. This role focuses on collaborating with educators, students, and families to create safe, supportive learning environments near Detroit, MI.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Psychology or related field required
- Valid Michigan school psychologist licensure must be maintained throughout the assignment
- Experience working with K-12 student populations strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt services to various educational levels, including elementary, middle, and high school
- Skill in assessments, counseling, and intervention strategies to support diverse student needs
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills for collaboration with staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to inform individualized education planning
- Provide counseling and direct support services to students facing academic, behavioral, or social-emotional challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement interventions and supports
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including IEP and eligibility meetings
- Offer crisis intervention and response as necessary to ensure student well-being
- Consult with school staff to develop positive behavioral plans and support academic achievement
