Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in School Psychology or a related field required
  • Valid School Psychologist license for the state of Michigan
  • Experience working with students in elementary, middle, or high school settings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop intervention plans, and support student wellness
  • Familiarity with special education procedures and multidisciplinary teams is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for purposes of identifying special educational needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in partnership with educators and parents
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, and administrators regarding instructional strategies, behavioral interventions, and best practices
  • Provide direct services, including counseling, crisis intervention, and skill-building sessions to students
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine students eligibility for special education and recommend appropriate supports
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with legal and district requirements
