Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Psychology or a related field required
- Valid School Psychologist license for the state of Michigan
- Experience working with students in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop intervention plans, and support student wellness
- Familiarity with special education procedures and multidisciplinary teams is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for purposes of identifying special educational needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in partnership with educators and parents
- Consult with teachers, counselors, and administrators regarding instructional strategies, behavioral interventions, and best practices
- Provide direct services, including counseling, crisis intervention, and skill-building sessions to students
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine students eligibility for special education and recommend appropriate supports
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with legal and district requirements
