Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist in Detroit, MI, to support student mental health and academic success within a school setting. This role involves collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess and address students psychological and educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students learning and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers, parents, and school staff on behavioral and mental health issues.
  • Deliver counseling services and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with educational regulations and confidentiality requirements.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience conducting psycho-educational assessments and working with diverse student populations.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
