Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a Licensed School Psychologist for the 2026/2027 academic year in the Detroit, MI area. Work full time with a dedicated secondary student population, making a difference every day from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about student wellness and eager to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist certification in the state of Michigan is required
- Proven experience in a school-based setting, specifically with secondary-level students
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results to support student learning and growth
- Work closely with students, providing direct counseling and intervention services as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide crisis management and response services within the school environment
- Participate in school-based meetings, student support teams, and professional development sessions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
