Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students social, emotional, and academic growth as a school psychologist for the upcoming 20262027 school year. This onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to work collaboratively with a supportive educational team in a dynamic school district near Detroit, MI.

As a school psychologist, youll be pivotal in helping students thrivenot only through assessment but also by participating in broader initiatives that support the school community. Youll work across one or two buildings within a district that values a holistic approach to student well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Michigan School Psychologist Certification, or willingness to obtain MI licensure promptly after offer
  • Background in psychology with experience in school settings preferred
  • Strong skills in psychological assessments and crafting effective interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Team-oriented mindset, eager to partner with educators and families

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students learning and mental health needs
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to support students beyond traditional testing roles
  • Offer expertise and guidance on mental health concerns, behavior management, and crisis intervention
  • Help foster an inclusive and positive school climate

Details:

  • Contract position for the full 20262027 academic year
  • Full-time hours (37.5 per week)
  • Assigned to 12 buildings within the district (elementary and secondary possible)
  • In-person, onsite presence required
